The Queens of the Stone Age frontman teamed up with two students from the New York Film Academy’s Los Angeles campus to create visuals for “If You Run” and “Move Together,” tracks off the latest Desert Sessions release, Volumes 11 & 12.
“If You Run” was directed by Gabriele Fabbro from Italy, and comments on the rash of violence against European journalists, while “Move Together” was filmed in director Jonathan Samukange‘s home country of Zimbabwe, and is described as a “psychedelic take on the story of Adam and Eve.”
Desert Sessions Volumes 11 & 12 was released last October. It includes guest spots from artists such as Royal Blood‘s Mike Kerr, ZZ Top‘s Billy Gibbons, Les Claypool of Primus, Jack White drummer Carla Azar, and Jake Shears of Scissor Sisters.
