Credit: Travis ShinnA mash-up of Tool‘s “Sober” and Led Zeppelin‘s “Kashmir” has earned the approval of Maynard James Keenan and company.
Utah-based rockers Spirit Machines recorded the mash-up, which they dubbed “Zober” — a combination of “Sober” and Led Zep’s “ZoSo” logo.
Tool shared a clip of “Zober” on their Instagram alongside the caption, “A very tasty tribute of Led Zeppelin and Tool.”
In response, Spirit Machines put up their own post, writing, “We’re all dead. @toolmusic just shared ‘Zober.’ We are such huge fans. Really don’t know what to say.”
You can listen to “Zober” in its entirety streaming now on YouTube.
Tool, meanwhile, just announced that all of their 2020 North American tour dates would be canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The run was scheduled in support of Tool’s 13-years-in-the-making new album Fear Inoculum, which was released last August.
