Singer/songwriter Rotimi returns with a long-awaited music video for his single, “In My Bed,” featuring Wale.
The steamy video features scenes of “Mr. Butterscotch” and his six-pack washboard abs lounging around a massive mansion with his beautiful love interest, while Wale entertains a lady of his own.
“In My Bed” i
a fast-paced dancehall twist.“I make that ting go wilder/I go make that ting run water/I go make you sing my song/There’s a meeting in my bed/In my bed,” Rotimi sings.
The song is from Rotimi’s 2019 EP, The Beauty of Becoming, and the R&B crooner took extreme precautions to shoot the music video, out of concern for the safety of himself and his crew due to COVID-19.
“This record has been a blessing for me, and I felt like the fans deserved a classic visual to tell the story,” Rotimi told Variety.
“We were really cautious with COVID, so Wale was able to film his parts in L.A. while I shot mine in Atlanta. I wanted to do something that conveyed the level of growth I’m on right now.”
In 2017, Rotimi dropped his Jeep Music Volume 1 EP — released on 50 Cent‘s G-Unit label — and has since dropped a slew of EPs and mixtapes.
This year, Rotimi released his acoustic project, Unplugged Sessions, and joined Trevor Jackson on Jacob Latimore‘s latest single “Real Love, Pt. 2.”
The former Power Actor recently signed a multi-million dollar deal with EMPIRE.
In addition, Rotimi will appear in Coming 2 America, which is slated for release in December.
