Amanda Edwards/WireImageWedding bells are ringing for Gabourey Sidibe, who announced Tuesday that her boyfriend, Brandon Frankel, put a ring on it.
“It’s weird that people think we’re already married but I guess our hearts and intentions for each other are just that clear to see,” the Empire star, 37, gushed on Instagram. “My BFF proposed and now I get to hold him forever.”
“Every moment with him is a joy,” Sidibe furthered, noting all the way Frankel makes her feel special and loved. “[He] made up a song for when i put my bonnet on at night. The second I look a bit stressed and overwhelmed, he jumps into action to take over what he can for me.”
“I’ve learned so much about myself through him and I feel grateful and excited to learn more about the entire world with him by my side,” she concluded, addressing Frankel as, “My partner, my best friend, my cats’ daddy, my mans, my heart, my fiancé!”
And, if the engagement announcement wasn’t cute enough — a video of the Precious star holding up her ring finger while Frankel cheers, “I put a ring on it!” — wait until you hear how he proposed.
On Frankel’s personal Instagram, the 35-year-old revealed that he had a special tag engraved to put on his cat’s collar, which read “Will you marry my daddy?”
If that wasn’t enough, he also spelled out “Will you marry me” with helium balloons and covered their bed in rose petals.
“So excited to spend the rest of my life with the most amazing, hilarious, beautiful, and inspiring woman I’ve ever known,” gushed Frankel. “Love you to the moon and back.”
The two were first romantically linked in May 2019 and later went public that December.
