Ivan BerriosDJ Khaled said A-listers only when he tapped Drake for two of the most highly anticipated tracks of the summer.
The fellas took a virtual flight out to Santorini in the visual for the track “Greece,” and gave a live performance to a virtual crowd in the visual for “Popstar.”
“I’m a pop star, not a doctor,” raps Drake on the track, which also mentions Justin Bieber, Selena Gomez, Ariana Grande, and the legendary singer Whitney Houston.
The two Drake-assisted anthems will appear on Khaled’s upcoming album, Khaled Khaled, expected later this year. The We The Best CEO dropped both singles at midnight, after teasing the upcoming collaborations all week on Instagram, posting key and owl emojis, a nod to Drake’s OVO imprint.
This is isn’t the first collaboration we’ve seen from Drizzy and Khaled. Over the years, the two have teamed up on several Billboard Hot 100 hits, including 2017’s “To the Max,” the “No New Friends” remix, “For Free,” and 2011’s “I’m On One,” featuring Lil Wayne and Rick Ross.
Meanwhile, Drake is planning a savage takeover this season following his May release, Dark Lane Demo Tapes. On Instagram, he captioned a photo of himself and Khaled, writing, “Open for business serving all summer.”
The OVO CEO has spent the last few days vacationing in Barbados and was pictured near Rihanna‘s childhood home signing autographs earlier this week.
