Randy Holmes/ABC via Getty ImagesFaith No More‘s summer European tour has been postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and the “Epic” rockers have announced a fundraising campaign to benefit members of their live crew.
“There’s been plenty of attention about the collapse of the concert industry, how it has been impacting musicians, artists, agents,” says bassist Billy Gould. “But very little coverage has focused on the impact it’s made on a crucial element of live music and touring: the crew.”
“We have been working with these folks for years, and we feel very close to them,” Gould adds of the FNM crew. “Since shows are not an option, we are trying to do what we can to offset this unfortunate turn of events with a special merch sale.”
Available merch includes autographed posters, drum heads and vinyl albums, as well as a Faith No More-branded face mask, and a limited edition t-shirt with the band’s logo and the slogan, “Wash Those Hands.”
You can purchase the merch now via FNM.com.
As for the tour, which was scheduled to be Faith No More’s first live run in four years, those dates have been moved to the summer of 2021. Previously purchased tickets will be valid at the rescheduled dates, and refunds are available upon request at point of purchase.
In August, Faith No More is supposed to launch a co-headlining tour with Korn. A press release promises information about that outing is “forthcoming.”
